What’s the right medical plan for you and your family? What other benefits do you need?

We know there are no off-the-shelf answers to your benefits questions, but we’ve put together a starting point for you.

Which medical plan is right for you and your family?

The answer depends on the state of your health and anticipated health care needs, your budget, and how you’d prefer to pay for healthcare. Here are a couple quick questions to help you explore your medical plan options.

What are your priorities as a health care consumer?

  • Saving money. Do you view your health insurance coverage primarily as a safety net in case of a serious health condition or medical emergency? Are controlling your health care costs and saving on taxes among your top financial goals? If so, take a close look at our HDHP plan.
  • Health care provider flexibility. Are you or eligible family members anticipating the need for health care services that may require a broad network of providers and specialists? If so, take a look at the PPO plan. If you don’t mind higher per-paycheck premium costs, it offers you the flexibility to visit providers outside its preferred provider network when necessary. You’ll also benefit from lower deductibles and out of pocket cost since this plan has first-dollar coverage on things like office visits and prescriptions.
  • Cost at the doctor. If you don’t want to pay a lot out-of-pocket expenses every time you visit the doctor, consider our EPO plan. There’s no deductible, and you’ll only have a small copay for office visits and most services. Their exclusive provider networks also offer the lowest costs for hospital and outpatient care, but understand that these plans have limited out-of-network coverage.
